The Lambton Outdoor Club (LOC) is a non-profit organization, run by volunteers, and governed by a council of elected officers and activity committee chairs.
LOC offers its members of all ages and all skill levels a variety of activities: canoeing, kayaking, hiking, cycling, and winter activities such as cross country skiing, snow shoeing, dog sledding, and winter camping.
The club brings together people with common interests in outdoor activities, and provides opportunities to improve skills for the enjoyment of these activities, in a manner that is non-destructive to the environment.
When possible outings will be geared to members’ interests and abilities, but some outings will be more physically demanding than others; awareness of your own physical fitness level should be your guide.
Social interaction is an important part of the club’s purpose and as such we hold several annual social events to get together, enjoy a meal and usually watch a presentation on a member’s trip.
Membership includes access to all planned activities, an informative quarterly newsletter with articles, photos, schedules and other useful information, as well as discounts at several local outdoor-related stores.
