Join Brenda Lorenz for a 4-night, 5-day packed trip centred around lovely Port Sydney near Huntsville.
The base will be at Clyffe House Cottage Resort situated on the shores of Lake Mary.
This resort has been operated by the same family since 1885. The resort offers a number of cottages which will easily accommodate the group during this period.

HIKES
|
Hikes are easy to moderate. We will visit Arrowhead Provincial Park to hike on some of their trails, including around the namesake lake. It is about 20 minutes from the resort near Huntsville. https://www.ontarioparks.com/park/arrowhead/activities
Another area that we will visit is Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve. It is a publically accessible private year-round wilderness haven with twenty private lakes and more than 10,000 unspoiled acres of mixed forest near Huntsville. There are more than 70 km of hiking and biking trails available to the public at no charge. It is about 45 minutes from the resort. https://limberlostforest.com/activities/hiking-trails/
There are a number of trails within walking distance of the resort that we will be able to explore. The area was managed by Ministry of Natural Resources where in the winter they groomed cross-country ski trails. Some of these trails can still be found as well as snowmobile trails that provide excellent access to the area during the off-season.
