About this event
This trip is good for canoes and kayaks.
We will drive to Paisley Friday and camp at Paisley’s Rotary Campground which is on the Saugeen, a short walk to downtown.
We will car pool upstream to Concession Rd. 10 and put in at access #7. We’ll paddle back to the campground. This is about a six hour paddle, depending on the flow.
Sunday will be a shorter paddle. We’ll leave from the campground and paddle to County Road 17 access # 13. These put ins and take outs are negotiable.
There are options concerning meals.Breakfast will be at camp. Lunch will be on the river bank. Since downtown is a short walk away supper can be either at the camp or at a restaurant downtown.
We will have a meeting a week or so before the trip to talk about it. The campground has showers.
As always you have to have the Coast Guard mandated equipment.
If you are a non-member wishing to participate, you must first join the Lambton Outdoor Club, which includes completing the member waiver. A one month free trial membership is available for first time participants. Having enjoyed an outing or two, we hope you’ll join our wonderful club following your free trial membership. The annual membership fee is $25.
