Meal selection and payment must be submitted by June 16th. No refunds will be issued.
Guests are welcome to the social without a membership, but must be members to participate in the hiking, paddling and cycling activities.
If you are a non-member wishing to participate in the hiking, paddling or cycling that day, you must first join the Lambton Outdoor Club, which includes completing the member waiver. A one month free trial membership is available for first time participants. Having enjoyed an outing or two, we hope you’ll join our wonderful club following your free trial membership. The annual membership fee is $25.
While participating, be respectful of other members' health management decisions and protective steps. Stay home if you are feeling unwell.

Event Description
|
Annual spring social for members and guests. An opportunity to participate in a bike, hike or paddle, then mingle and catch up with friends and meet new members. A choice of afternoon activities is provided. |

Cathcart Park, north of Sombra on the St Clair Parkway. Site includes large pavilion, picnic tables, washrooms and parking. |

Other activities
|
Check website for hiking, cycling and paddling events at the same location, being held in conjunction with the spring social. Register separately on the website. Once you arrive at the park you will be able to pick up your new LOC decal to help advertise our wonderful club.
New this year - we will have a 'Swap and Sale' area set up in the park from 11:30-1:00 where you can bring unwanted outdoor gear. Sellers/donors should label their items with a price, contact name and cell phone number and should be prepared to take items back home should they not find a new home. There will be separate areas for giveaways and sales.
After lunch, you will have an opportunity to:
1. Visit Greenhill Gardens outside of Wilkesport for a free, self-guided tour through the beautiful gardens. The story behind the gardens is remarkable and the scenery is a crowd-pleaser.
2. Visit Sombra Museum for a guided tour ($5 each can be paid at the Museum) through their buildings including a furnished 143-year-old Victorian home and log cabin, including historical displays on themes such as the World Wars, the agricultural heritage and the significance of the St. Clair River and Great Lakes. On-site washrooms are available.
3. Enjoy the beautiful St. Clair River from the park. |
