Registration is not Required
IMPORTANT: All who wish to participate in this event must pre-register by noon the day before the event. If you find you are unable to attend, kindly cancel your registration.

If you are a non-member wishing to participate, you must first join the Lambton Outdoor Club, which includes completing the member waiver. A one month free trial membership is available for first time participants. Having enjoyed an outing or two, we hope you’ll join our wonderful club following your free trial membership. The annual membership fee is $25.

About this event

Event Description
We will start with a land review of wet exit, assisted rescue, self-rescue, and boat maneuvering strokes etc and then go in the water and practice each one

Distance / Duration (Pace)
Practice session will be about two hours. Depending how attendees feel after the practice, we can have lunch and go out for a leisurely paddle. Please bring a lunch if you are interested  in the paddle

Mandatory Transport Canada safety equipment
- PFD or life jacket
- Buoyant heaving line (15 meters in length)
- Paddle
- Bailer or hand pump
- Sound signaling device (whistle)

Suggested Items to Bring
- Water & Snacks
- Suncreen & Bug Spray
- Spare clothes in a dry bag
- First Aid Kit

Other Important info
Please bring  a paddle float
Depending on your comfort level underwater, please bring a nose plugs or snorkel mask and ear plug
The water will be cool therefore wear a dry or wet suit or bring two change of clothes and towels depending on your tolerance for cold
