IMPORTANT: All who wish to participate in this event must pre-register by midnight the night before the event. If you find you are unable to attend, kindly cancel your registration.
If you are a non-member wishing to participate, you must first join the Lambton Outdoor Club, which includes completing the member waiver. A one month free trial membership is available for first time participants. Having enjoyed an outing or two, we hope you’ll join our wonderful club following your free trial membership. The annual membership fee is $25.
About this event
Description
We will paddle from Baxter Beach to Brights Grove, have a brief stop for a snack/light lunch, bio break then paddle back.
This will be an intermediate paddle and will only stopping for a lunch break.
Kayaks must have all safety equipment including a skirt.
Participant must be able to paddle 10 KM without a break.
If you are concerned about you paddle abilities please contact the leader prior to signing up.
Meeting Place
Parking Lot at Baxter Beach
(Pls arrive 15 mins before paddle for instructions and introductions.)
Level
Intermediate with ability to paddle 10km without a break.

15-20 Km / 4 Hours (5-6 km/hr)
Mandatory Transport Canada safety equipment.

Other Important info
Depending on winds and waves, backup location for this paddle will be Shell boat launch in Corunna.
We will paddle against the current with the goal to make it all the way to Sarnia bay.
We will have a quick break and go with current back to the start.
