Registration is required before Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11:59 PM
IMPORTANT: All who wish to participate in this event must pre-register by midnight the night before the event. If you find you are unable to attend, kindly cancel your registration.

If you are a non-member wishing to participate, you must first join the Lambton Outdoor Club, which includes completing the member waiver. A one month free trial membership is available for first time participants. Having enjoyed an outing or two, we hope you’ll join our wonderful club following your free trial membership. The annual membership fee is $25.

While participating, be respectful of other members' health management decisions and protective steps, and please stay home if you are feeling unwell.

About this event

Event Description

Fanshawe Lake Trails/ Fanshawe Conservation Area

A 20 km loop trail travelling around Fanshawe Reservoir. Spectacular views, all kinds of wildlife and a variety of terrain.

Trail is open to cyclists who travel counter-clockwise on odd numbered dates.

The hydroelectric plant at the base of Fanshawe Dam generates enough power to run 300 households.

(This is one of the conditioning hikes required for anyone considering the Bruce Trail hikes.)

As this is a conditioning hike for the Bruce trail it is highly recommended that you wear the boots and carry the knap sack you plan to take on the Bruce Trail.

 Fanshawe Conservation parking lot just past Gate house, in front of Watershed Conservation Centre.  (fee for parking??).
