IMPORTANT: All who wish to participate in this event must pre-register by noon the day before the event. If you find you are unable to attend, kindly cancel your registration.

If you are a non-member wishing to participate, you must first join the Lambton Outdoor Club, which includes completing the member waiver. A one month free trial membership is available for first time participants. Having enjoyed an outing or two, we hope you’ll join our wonderful club following your free trial membership. The annual membership fee is $25.

About this event

Event Description
We will introduce ourselves and have a brief talk about safety before we launch our kayaks.  We will paddle for 3-4 hours at a comfortable speed for all.  
  
Meeting Place
We will meet at the launch site 6 Water St., Vienna.  There is parking on a grass overflow area. We will paddle 1.5-2 hr to the marina in Port Burwell, have a break and snack, then paddle back to the launch site  If you do not know where this launch is or have difficulties transporting your kayak please contact the organizers.  Bring a lunch or there are restaurant options in Port Burwell for after the paddle.  We have read that there is a port a pottie at the launch.

(Please arrive 15 mins before paddle for instructions and introductions.)

- Buoyant heaving line (15 meters in length)
- Paddle
- Bailer or hand pump
- Sound signaling device (whistle)

- Lots of Water (frozen water bottles are good on hot days)
- Snacks and optional lunch
- Suncreen & Bug Spray is essential
- Protective sun hat and sunglasses
- Spare clothes in a dry bag
- First Aid Kit
- emergency contact information (ICE card)
