Registration is required before Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 9:00 PM
IMPORTANT: All who wish to participate in this event must pre-register by 9pm the night before the event. If you find you are unable to attend, kindly cancel your registration.

This is a peer-coordinated recreational event where participants paddle their own kayak or canoe (pleasure craft). Each participant remains responsible for their own safety, decisions, and the operation of their personal pleasure craft.

Participants should stay within sight of the person in front and the person behind.

If you are a non-member wishing to participate, you must first join the Lambton Outdoor Club, which includes completing the member waiver. A one month free trial membership is available for first time participants. Having enjoyed an outing or two, we hope you’ll join our wonderful club following your free trial membership. The annual membership fee is $25.
Registration modifications are permitted

About this event

Event Description
Mitchell's Bay in a great spot for Egrets, deer and swans, and the nature is spectacular too.  We will be doing one paddle before lunch and continue on after lunch for those who wish to continue.  If there are high winds, we will move the put-in spot to another place.  Judy will make the decision Wednesday night.

Meeting Place
We plan to launch the boats at 9:30, so please be there ahead of time.  We will be meeting at the kayak launch at Mitchell's Bay

Mandatory Transport Canada safety equipment.
- PFD or life jacket
- Buoyant heaving line (15 meters in length)
- Paddle
- Bailer or hand pump
- Sound signaling device (whistle)


Suggested Items to Bring
- Water & Snacks
- Suncreen & Bug Spray
- Spare clothes, towel and emergency warming blanket in a dry bag in your kayak.
- First Aid Kit
- Thermal wear depending on temperature of the water
- ICE card ( in case of emergency information card)
