What is this?
Event Description
Petrolia was incorporated as a town in 1866 when a major gas well was found. Oil men from Petrolia travelled to the far reaches of the world - Gobi Desert, Arctic, Iran, Indonesia, United States, Australia, Russia and over 80 other countries teaching others how to find and extract crude oil. Today it is a lovely community with several historic buildings.
We will walk the central business area viewing the beautiful churches and other historic buildings as well as walk out to two of the newer subdivisions finishing with the beautiful and relaxing - but sometimes muddy - Bridgeview Park.
