IMPORTANT: All who wish to participate in this event must pre-register before the event. If you find you are unable to attend, kindly cancel your registration.

If you are a non-member wishing to participate, you must first join the Lambton Outdoor Club, which includes completing the member waiver. A one month free trial membership is available for first time participants. Having enjoyed an outing or two, we hope you’ll join our wonderful club following your free trial membership. The annual membership fee is $25.

While participating, be respectful of other members' health management decisions and protective steps, and please stay home if you are feeling unwell.

Event Description	Bruce Trail - Sydneham Section - The main trail in the Sydenham section is 170 km long. Friday, June 2-4, 2023 - Sydenham section – 100.7-143.9 - Maps 32-34 Ed 30 The Bruce Trail Conservancy conserves and cares for land within the Niagara Escarpment UNESCO World Biosphere to protect its ecosystems for the benefit of all and make it available to explore by foot along the magnificent Bruce Trail. Note: out-of-town, multi day trips are available for members only. Important: Participants in Bruce Trail hikes are expected to register for a couple pre-conditioning hikes. Meet at Comfort Inn in Owen Sound on Friday, June 2nd @ 11:45 am, Friday June 2nd Start Hike @ 143.9, End @ 132.2 (Total 11.7 km) Saturday, June 3rd - Meet @ Comfort Inn @ 8 am, Start hike @ 9 am Start Hike @ 110.5 End @ 132.2 (Total 21.7 km) Sunday, June 4th - Meet @ Comfort Inn @ 8 am, Start hike @ 9 am Start Hike @ 110.5 End @ 100.7 (Total 9.8 km)

Costs	Money is Required For: Hotel rooms and meals, parking - several parking lots have charges Also donations of $5 per day plus donations towards any parking lot fees are suggested to help defray the costs of those drivers shuttling hikers to and from Trail heads. A volunteer 'accountant' will collect and distribute such donations.
Required Items to Bring	Hiking boots and poles Snacks and lunches Water - at least 2 litres per day is recommended
Recommended to Bring	bug spray masks- especially if car pooling masks are suggested
Expected Conditions	Participants Should Be Prepared For: possibly slippery rocks hills to climb uneven ground
Accommodation	Comfort Inn Owen Sound, ON N4K 6N4 955 9th Ave. E. -Call the Comfort Inn directly (519-371-5500), -mention Lambton Outdoor Club (group number 4535318) for the group rate ($149 plus tax). -Book by April 21, 2023 for the group rate, with your credit card. -Any cancellations after that are the responsibility of the person reserving the room. -Any unbooked rooms will be released after April 21. -Rooms with two beds have been reserved to simplify for those wishing to share a room.
