Subject: Notice of LOC Annual Meeting
From: Lambton Outdoor Club

Greetings to all LOC members

It is that time of year when the Annual General Meeting takes place to sum up the past year’s activities and prepare for the new term.  Here are the meeting arrangements:
          Date:     Tuesday, October 26, 2021
          Time:     6:30 PM start time
          Venue:   Online via Zoom
This is an opportunity for the entire membership to get together to meet your Council, as well as the Committee Chairs and their respective committee members.  We encourage you to go online on the LOC website and register for this important event.  The link to join the Zoom session will be distributed on the day of the AGM to those who have registerd.

While the actual AGM business does not take that much time, it is still an important opportunity for us to get your views and opinions about a variety of topics.

As in the past, once the AGM business is completed, we will enjoy some presentation topics of special interest.

We are celebrating thirty years as a club this year and will hear from Tony Arnold how he was inspired to form a club back on November 9th, 1991. There has been a lot of new members over the years as well as those same founding members who continue to volunteer in various roles to ensure the club encourages all we like minded individuals to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities in all seasons of the year and our life.

Our vice president, Winston, will give a presentation on a long kayak trip a group recently completed “Lake to Lake” from Huron to Erie.

In past years, the AGM in person presentations included refreshments and snacks, in a lovely setting at the Tourism Sarnia-Lambton building.  It is another year and another zoom meeting, but we will make the most of the opportunity to get together virtually. We will be able to get your views and opinions about a variety of topics, so it is still important to attend. I am looking forward to hearing and seeing you online at the zoom meeting October 26th.

Happy Thanksgiving and best wishes to you,

Nico van Dyl
