Subject: All Members Will Soon Need to "Sign" New LOC Liability Waiver
From: Lambton Outdoor Club

Fellow Member:

Over the past few months, the LOC Council  engaged an external consultant experienced in the development of liability waivers for outdoor service providers and clubs.  They offered (pro-bono) recommendations on strengthening the Liability Waiver used by our club.

We have now adopted a revised Liability Waiver reflecting this advice.  Normally, you are asked to agree to the LOC Liability every year when you renew your membership.  However,  since our agreement has changed,  we will be initiating a "one time" process to trigger everyone to agree to the new Liability Waiver over the next few weeks.

We will be triggering this process on Wed, March 30th.  Once this is done, the next time you log into the LOC website, you will be directed immediately to a screen that will walk you through the Liability Agreement approval process, just like when you renew.

For anyone who has not provided this agreement within 4 weeks (by Apr 27),  we will temporarily put their membership on hold.  While on hold, they will not be able to register for any new events until they acknowledge and approve the new Liability Waiver.  Any existing registrations will not be affected.

For anyone who joined in the last week or so,  bear with us... you've already approved the new Liability Waiver, but will need to do it again once we trigger this process!

If you have any questions about this process,  please contact Phil by return email.
