IMPORTANT: This event is open to fully vaccinated members and a vaccinated guest only.

Also, all participants MUST pre-register for event, by midnight the night before; also drop-ins are not allowed at this time (due to Covid-19) and will be turned away by the leader.

NOTE.... Please check your email and the LOC website the day of the hike in case of cancellation before heading out to the hike.

Be aware of the Public Health guidance relative to your own vaccination status and make your personal choices accordingly.

Be respectful of other participants’ Covid-19 management decisions and protective steps. If they are trying to maintain 2m distance, please help them achieve that.

Don’t participate if you have ANY symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in recent contact with someone who has Covid-19.

Event Description This event is open to fully vaccinated members and guests only.

New Years Day Social Hike!
Ring in the New year with your LOC friends.
Enjoy a walk around Canatara Park or Centennial Park waterfront.

Please note that while members are able to declare their vaccination status as they register, guests will need to provide their information to the Social Committee when they sign a Waiver of Liability.

NOTE: Some of you may not wish to participate even with small groups at this time. We encourage you to get out on your own or with your bubble for a walk. Take a photo or selfie and tell us where you walked. We'll compile photos taken in the organized groups and by those self-led and put into a photo album of memories on the website.

ALSO: make sure to register for separate event this date if you can join us at 7:00 pm for a Zoom presentation by Winston Ramharry on a recent cycling trip.
Event Start Time Leaving Canatara Park Animal Farm lot, or,
Centennial Park Agora Stage (lot N of stage)
at 1:00 p m.

(Pls arrive 15 mins before hike for instructions and introductions.)

Note: Participants are being split into several groups with a max of 5/group. Please find your group at the meeting point and don't mingle with other groups. We are trying to limit group size and maintain physical distance to keep everyone safe.
